The new update reportedly weighs about 290MB in size and as per the changelogs posted by a user, it will overhaul the smartphone’s UI and comes with MIUI version 9.2.4.0. It also updates the device to the latest January security patch and brings an updated Mi Drop app which fixes some issues and optimises the app. The new patch comes with a new Security Scan app which can scan for viruses and also supports a payments scan feature.

The Mi Mover app has also improved and comes with support for restarting data migration in case the connection is interrupted.
