Will your Vivo or iQOO phone get the new Android 17 update? Here are popular phones that may miss out

Vivo and iQOO are reportedly working on their next major software update. It will be based on the latest Android 17. The update is anticipated to bring new functionalities, fresh design, and improved performance for the compatible phones. However, not all Vivo and iQOO devices will receive this update, as some of them have already reached the end of their software support. As a result of that, they will miss out on the upcoming OriginOS 7 update that will be a skin based on Android 17. Here is the full list of devices that may not get the upcoming update based on the current software support policies.

List of Vivo and iQOO devices missing OriginOS 7 update

Here is a list of the Vivo and iQOO smartphones that are going to miss out on the OriginOS 7 update. Do note that the list consists of the devices whose update cycle was clearly mentioned and received the Android 16 update.

List of Vivo devices that won’t get the Android 17 update:

Vivo X series: Vivo X Fold 2, X90, X90 Pro, X90 Pro+, X90s

Vivo V series: Vivo V30, V30e, V30 Pro, V30 SE, V30 Lite 4G

Vivo T series: Vivo T3, T3 Pro, T3 Ultra, T3 Lite, T3x

Vivo Y series: Vivo Y300, Y300 Plus, Y300 Pro, Y200 4G, Y200+, Y200e, Y200 Pro, Y200 GT, Y200i, Y200t, Y100 4G

List of iQOO devices that will miss out on the Android 17 update:

iQOO Number series: iQOO 11, iQOO 11 Pro

iQOO Z series: iQOO Z9, Z9x, Z9 Lite, Z9s, Z9s Pro

It’s important to note that, apart from the devices mentioned above, there are some other devices that may not receive the upcoming update. Since we were unable to confirm their software update policies, we did not include them in the list at the time of writing. It is difficult to predict whether these devices will be upgraded to the new OS. We will update the current list once we have more clarity on their update eligibility.

OriginOS 7 update: Launch timeline (Expected)

Although Vivo and iQOO have not revealed any information regarding when will users be able to enjoy the new OriginOS 7 update, the latest reports indicate that the stable version of the new operating system could become available in late October or in early November. Furthermore, it’s also expected that the early testers will get the new update before the stable version with the beta software.
