Priced under Rs 40,000, the mid-range handset will take on the Oppo Reno 14, which came out last month. The latter offers an impressive set of features and upgrades. The Oppo Reno 14 is compact and packs impressive hardware along with some functional AI features. Both handsets aim to strike a balance between affordability and performance.

Vivo V60 vs Oppo Reno 14: Design and display

In terms of design, Vivo V60 sports a sleek and minimal look with a pill-shaped camera module on the back. On the other hand, Oppo Reno 14 has an aesthetic appeal in the Pearl White colour option, featuring a squarish camera module on the rear panel. Both handsets measure 7.5mm in thickness and are water- and dust-resistant.

Additionally, Vivo V60 has a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 5,000 nits, while Oppo Reno 14 has a slightly smaller 6.59-inch LTPS AMOLED flexible screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

The Vivo V60 comes equipped with a 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with up to 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512GB UFS 2.2 storage. The handset runs on Vivo’s FunTouch OS 15, based on Android 15. On the other hand, Oppo Reno 14 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset with Mali-G615 GPU. It also packs up to 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It runs on Android 15-based ColorOS 15.0.2.

For photography, Vivo partnered with ZEISS. The V60 ships with a triple camera setup comprising a 50MP ZEISS main camera with OIS, a 50MP ZEISS telephoto camera and an 8MP ZEISS tuned ultrawide sensor. The device also has a 50MP selfie camera.

Further, Oppo Reno 14 counters with a 50MP Main (IMX882, 1/1.95”, OIS), 8MP ultra-wide (OV08D, 116° FoV) and 50MP telephoto (JN5, 3.5x, 80mm). It also has a 50MP front camera.

In terms of battery, the Vivo V60 is the clear winner with a 6,500mAh battery as compared to Oppo’s 6,000mAh battery. However, the real-world testing is yet to be seen. Further, both handsets support 80W fast charging.

The Vivo V60 5G is priced at Rs 36,999 for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, Rs 38,999 for the 256GB model and Rs 45,999 for the top-end 16GB RAM and 512GB configuration. On the other hand, the Oppo Reno 14 5G is priced at Rs 37,999 for 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and Rs 39,999 for 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The top-end variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at Rs 42,999.
