Redmi is reportedly gearing up to introduce the upcoming Redmi Note 17 in the Indian market. Although the company has not announced anything officially yet, a recent leak reveals that the phone could be launched as early as next month. The leaks hint at the phone coming with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor coupled with 256GB of storage capacity. The smartphone is also anticipated to feature a dual-camera setup at the back with an 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. The device may also bring back the microSD card slot. According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Redmi Note 17 will make its debut in India on August 6, 2026. Furthermore, he also stated that the device will be available for purchase starting August 11.

Redmi Note 17: Specs (Expected)
The Redmi Note 17 is expected to feature a 7-inch flat OLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Under the bright sunlight the device is said to reach a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. Moreover, it’s tipped to feature Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection on the front.
The smartphone is said to have a plastic body frame and may bag IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings to keep it safe against dust and water. Under the hood, the device is anticipated to draw its power from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset. Furthermore, it’s tipped to be paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.
The Redmi Note 17 is also expected to house an 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 45W fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. Aside from that, the smartphone may feature a dedicated microSD card slot, which is rare in today’s smartphones.
In the camera department, the handset may include a dual camera setup at the rear end which will be led by a 50MP primary camera. The device may also feature an 8MP selfie shooter at the front.
