Apple is reportedly planning to be gearing up to refresh its premium lineup in India as well as the world with the new iPhone 18 Pro series. As per rumours, Apple could introduce the new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max smartphones. Along with that, the Cupertino tech giant is also said to unveil its first foldable device, the iPhone Ultra. While the company is expected to not make any major physical changes to the iPhone 18 Pro series, reports claim that the smartphone could land with improved battery life, camera performance, processing power, and wireless connectivity. The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to feature a 6.3-inch LTPO+ display, while the Pro Max may land with a 6.9-inch LTPO+ panel. New leaks suggest that Apple might be working on a smaller Dynamic Island by placing some Face ID components under the display.
When it comes to power, the iPhone 18 Pro is said to pack a 4,056mAh battery, while the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Max may feature a larger 5,391mAh battery. Both smartphones are tipped to support 25W wired charging, along with wireless charging. Rumours also suggest that the devices may offer reverse wireless charging support.
Apple is also expected to introduce the new A20 Pro chipset under the hood, which is said to be based on TSMC’s 2nm process. Not only that, but they may also debut Apple’s third-generation C2 modem with faster 5G speeds and support for satellite-based internet connectivity.
For the photography enthusiasts, the iPhone 18 Pro series is rumoured to feature a 48MP Fusion main camera with variable aperture technology for better control over light and depth effects. Along with that, you may get to see a 48MP ultrawide lens and a 48MP telephoto periscope lens. It’s also tipped that the Pro series may feature a LiDAR sensor. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone is said to house a 12MP front-facing camera.
Apple may also launch new colour options such as dark cherry, light blue, dark grey, and silver. The Camera Control button is expected to lose touch controls and rely only on pressure sensitivity.
