The Redmi 12 5G made its debut in India on August 1, 2023. Three days after the launch, the smartphone came on sale on August 4. However, it got out of stock very quickly. After that, it came back in stock on August 8. And guess what? It got out of stock again, within a 30-minute window. If you missed this smartphone in today’s sale, then you need to wait at least three more days (guessing from the waiting period between the last two sales) until the company brings it back in stock. But why are people getting so eager about this smartphone? Let’s find out.

Talking about the display, it features a 6.79-inch IPS LCD display which comes with a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels. The display supports up to 90Hz refresh rate. The display is also said to be the biggest display yet in the Redmi family.

The latest Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 powers the Redmi 12 5G. This smartphone comes with three storage options that are 4GB 128GB, 6GB 128GB and 8GB 256GB. MIUI 14 skin based on Android 13 OS, runs this smartphone. The Redmi 12 5G is packed with a 5000mAh battery that supports up to 18-watt fast charging support.

Moving to the camera, it sports a dual camera setup on the back holding a 50-megapixel primary camera along with a 2-megapixel macro sensor for close-up shots. On the front side, it has an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.

The Redmi 12 5G can be grabbed from Amazon, Xiaomi’s online store, and offline partner stores on its next sale. Its starting price, ₹11,999 is listed for the base model, 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. However, the company is also offering a ₹1000 bank discount, so you can jab it at just ₹10,999.
