Vivo is moving forward to introduce its next generation operating system, the OriginOS 6. This year, both iQOO and Vivo will get this latest Android 16 based skin. The new update will bring along improved system performance, longer battery life, and deeper AI integration.

It is said to bring translucent visual design that is similar to Apple iOS 26. In the latets update, the company has announced the rollout roadmap for OriginOS 6. So, if you are using iQOO and Vivo phone, here is everything including OriginOS 6 release schedule, eligible devices and features.

OriginOS 6 release date and eligible devices

The anticipated rollout for OriginOS 6 is scheduled to begin in early November 2025 and continue through the first half of 2026.

The initial wave in early November 2025 is expected to include the Vivo X Fold5, X200 Pro, X200, X200 FE, and V60 models, alongside the iQOO 13.

The update will continue in mid-November 2025, reaching the Vivo X Fold3 Pro, X100 Pro, and X100, as well as the iQOO 12.

A further batch of devices will receive the update in mid-December 2025, consisting of the Vivo V60e, V50, V50e, T4 Ultra, and T4 Pro, alongside the iQOO Neo 10, Neo 10 R, and Neo9 Pro.

Subsequently, the iQOO 11 and the Vivo X90 Pro and X90 will get updates in the first half of 2026. Many models from the V-Series, T-Series, and Y-Series are also specified as eligible after these certain dates.

OriginOS 6 features

OriginOS 6 introduces the Origin Animation System with effects like Spring, Blur Transition, Morphing, and One Shot Animation for smoother visuals. Its Snap-Up Engine boosts performance in intensive tasks such as ticket booking, improving touch response and app launch times.

The Origin Design System unifies colours, shapes, icons, fonts, and layouts. It features the new Vivo Sans font with adjustable thickness, support for 40+ languages, and a translucent, dynamic interface.

A new grid layout (4×7) for the lock screen adds adaptive folders and cards that react to phone angles. The Origin Island integrates with Android 16’s Live features for contextual updates and real-time status shown as a pill on the screen.

OriginOS 6 also adds AI tools like AI Retouch, Erase, Image Expander, Photo Enhance, Smart Call Assistant, DocMaster, AI Creation, and AI Search, along with updates to Circle to Search and Gemini.
