OnePlus is reportedly gearing up for the launch of the next Nord series smartphone, Nord 5, in the coming months. While the brand has been tight-lipped about the upcoming device, rumours and reports have revealed some expected specifications and other details. The OnePlus Nord 5 will likely succeed last year’s Nord 4. As reported, the phone may ship with a MediaTek chipset, unlike its predecessor, which comes with a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. It will likely have a massive battery and fast charging support.

If the brand follows its usual timeline, the OnePlus Nord 5 could be launched between June and July. To recall, Nord 4 was launched in July last year.

OnePlus Nord 5 will likely feature a 6.77-inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, the phone may come equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9400e processor, a slightly toned-down version of the Dimensity 9400 chip.
Additionally, the OnePlus Nord 5 is rumoured to pack a dual camera setup on the back, including a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. It could also house a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
Furthermore, it is expected to pack a massive 6,700mAh battery supported by 100W fast charging. Other rumoured features include dual speakers, an IR blaster, and a plastic frame with a glass back.
