Motorola has officially launched its second gen Moto E smartphone in India. Priced at Rs. 6999, the Moto E second gen (3G version) is available via Flipkart starting March 11. The company did not reveal information on availability and pricing of the LTE version of the Moto E.
The Moto E second gen features a few upgrades over the first gen Moto E smartphone. The second gen Moto E has a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor (for the 3G version) and Snapdragon 410 SoC (for the 4G variant), along with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone has a 4.5-inch qHD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and Anti-smudge coating.
The smartphone comes with 5MP rear camera and VGA front facing camera. The Moto E second gen comes with 8GB of ROM and supports up to 32GB via microSD. Connectivity options include 3G, Micro USB, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It is powered by a 2390 mAh battery.
While the first gen Moto E was a success, the second gen phone though faces a stronger competition from the likes of Micromax, Lenovo, Xiaomi and Asus. Also read: Top 10 Best Phones under Rs. 10,000 in India
