The Meizu M1 Note has gone official in India. The official pricing of the smartphone is Rs. 11999.

Meizu has officially entered the Indian market with the launch of its smartphone Meizu M1 Note. The smartphone will be available via e-commerce website Amazon.in starting May 20. The company hasn't revealed the pricing of the phone as yet. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 11999.

The Meizu M1 Note, which is said to bear resemblance with Apple's iPhone 5C, has a 5.5-inch 1080p display with a pixel density of 403 ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by a MT6752 64-bit octa-core processor from Mediatek along with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in 16GB and 32GB storage options. It does not have memory card slot. In the camera department, it has a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera. The phone runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat with a custom Flyme 4.0 UI. A 3,140mAh battery powers the phone. Connectivity options include dual SIM (4G+ 2G).

Even though the pricing hasn't been revealed, the M1 Note looks to be another high spec'd budget smartphone. Meizu is the latest entrant to an already crowded Indian smartphone market. The company seems to have also followed the latest trend of launching a high spec'd smartphone at a competitive price point. Also, it has opted for the online-exclusive, except for the flash sales. The Indian market is already awash with budget smartphones with high end specifications. Companies such as Motorola, Asus Micromax Xiaomi and Lenovo have gone aggressive on the Indian market. Meizu will be facing a very strong competition from all these established players in the country.
