Flagship Android smartphone from LG has 4.7-inch IPS display and quad-core processor.
LG Optimus G, the latest handset from the Korean phone maker, has now been priced and listed by online retailer Saholic. The Optimus G is available for Rs. 30,990, about four months after it was launched in South Korea and just a couple of days after it was made available in Europe.
The Optimus G is an Android Jelly Bean smartphone with a 4.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280×768 pixels. The Optimus G is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Krait processor, 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 320 GPU. The Optimus G comes with 32GB of built-in storage but doesn’t support external memory cards. With respect to connectivity, the Optimus G supports 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA and Bluetooth 4.0. Imaging is taken care of by a 13MP camera complemented by an LED flash and capable of recording 1080p@30 fps videos. The entire package is powered by a 2100mAh.
LG is expected to have a pretty busy 2013 with their planned push towards a sales target of 75 million phones for the year, 45 million of which are expected to be pure smartphones. LG hopes to achieve the sales target by launching a new portfolio of Optimus Android smartphone and a bunch of new phones running Windows Phone 8. Also in LG’s line-up: A 5.5-inch Optimus Pro and the Optimus G2, another high-end smartphone.
