Lava Iris X8 octa-core phone with 1GB RAM launched at Rs. 8999, 2GB priced at Rs. 9,349

The Iris X8 is the 'flagship' phone under Lava's Iris X series of smartphones. The Iris X8 is now among most affordable octa-core phones in India.

Lava has expanded its X series of phones with the launch of new Iris X8. Priced at Rs. 8999, the smartphone is available online exclusively on Flipkart.com starting 12:00 noon from 9th Feb and all national retail stores and multi-brand outlets.

The Lava Iris X8 has a 5-inch IPS 720p display. It runs Android v4.4 KitKat, FOTA upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop, and is powered by a 1.4GHz MediaTek octa-core processor along with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 16GB of internal storage (13GB user available).

The smartphone sports 8 MP Primary BSI-III AF Camera with dual LED flash and 3MP front-facing camera. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and OTG support. The LAVA Iris X8 is powered by a 2500 mAh battery.

Lava has earlier launched a few phones under its X range. Recently, it launched the X1 Grand and X1 Mini phones in India, both priced under Rs. 10,000. Lava has also launched the Iris Alfa, featuring 5-inch display 5-inch display, quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 2200 mAh battery. The Alfa is priced at Rs. 6,550.
