Expected to rival Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge, the device is said to be the thinnest iPhone ever. Multiple leaks, including reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, have tipped that the iPhone 17 Air may feature a thickness of just 5.5mm, making it thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge’s 5.8mm profile. If true, this would make the iPhone 17 Air not only the slimmest iPhone ever made, but also one of Apple’s sleekest products to date.

Apple could announce the iPhone 17 series, including the iPhone 17 Air, on either September 8 or 9 at an event and go on sale after two weeks, meaning around September 19. However, these are just early leaks and are yet to be confirmed.

Apple iPhone 17 Air specifications

The Apple iPhone 17 Air is expected to feature a 6.6-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. While it is not confirmed, the device is said to be powered by Apple Silicon’s latest A19 Pro chipset and may be coupled with at least 8GB of RAM for the Apple Intelligence features to function. You can expect a 3,000 mAh battery offering a decent backup.

As for cameras, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to get a 48MP main camera. For selfies and video calls, the device will get a 24MP camera.
