Google has now confirmed that it will issue an update to fix the audio problems found on its Pixel 2 XL smartphone. The search giant told CNET that it is aware of the audio issue on the Pixel 2 XL and is planning to roll out a fix in the next few weeks.

The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL is the most ambitious smartphones from the company and is aimed to wipe some market share from Samsung and Apple in the premium segment. However, Google's plan is not going down the way it would have wanted with multiple issues cropping up since its launch. The audio problem was first reported in the Pixel user community where Pixel 2 XL owners reported terrible audio while recording videos. Most users complained that the recorded audio sounded muddy and stifled.

Google Pixel 2 owners had previously reported 'clicking and high pitch frequency sounds' on some device. With the Pixel 2 XL, however, audio recording is not the only reported issue. Pixel 2 XL users initially complained about the blue shift on display and followed up with screen burn-in issue. The Pixel 2 XL users also complained about toned down colour reproduction of the OLED display.

Google has confirmed that it is actively investigating the display issue and will release a patch to fix the problem. It is now evident that Pixel 2 XL, despite its modern design and critically acclaimed camera, is not short of noticeable issues. While Google has addressed to fix these issues, it is to be seen when those updates arrive and whether it manages to fix all the bugs.
