A cashback of Rs 8,000 is offered on the Google Pixel 2, whereas the Pixel 2 XL can be purchased with Rs 10,000 cashback. The cashback offer is valid online on Flipkart and on select offline retailers.
Citibank is offering a cashback of up to Rs 10,000 the Google Pixel 2 series smartphones. The offer is active on all variants of the Pixel 2 (review) and Pixel 2 XL (review), however, the amount of cashback varies depending upon the model one buys. The cashback can be availed online via Flipkart and from some offline retail stores as well.
As per the online retailer’s listing, the buyer will get a cashback of Rs 8,000 on both 64GB and 128GB ROM variants of the Google Pixel 2, whereas on the 64GB and 128GB ROM models of the bigger Pixel 2 XL, they will receive a Rs 10,000 cashback. It should be noted that the cashback offer is only valid while purchasing the devices using a Citibank credit or debit cards and on both EMI and normal transactions but not on the bank’s corporate and commercial cards. Flipkart is also offering up to Rs 18,000 off on exchange with both the smartphones and is offering a Buyback Guarantee at Rs 149 as well. There is a no-cost EMI on the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL starting at Rs 4,917 and Rs 5,417 per month.
The offer is valid till February 28 and Flipkart will credit the cashback within 90 business days from the date of purchasing the smartphones. The offer is also applicable on select offline stores and the list can be found here. However, while purchasing offline, one needs to buy the devices via 'Brand EMI' channel on Plutus/Pine Labs POS terminals only to avail the cashback and the buyer needs to preserve the charge slip which mentions the cashback details “ the charge slip that does not display the cash back details will not be considered eligible for the cash back.”
Getting back to the smartphones, the 64GB and 128GB models of the Google Pixel 2 are listed at Rs 49,999 and Rs 58,999 respectively on Flipkart and under the Citibank cashback offer, they can be purchased with an Rs 8,000 cashback. Similarly, the Pixel 2 XL (64GB) can be bought at an effective price of Rs. 54,999, down from its listed price of Rs. 64,999. The 128GB Pixel 2 XL is up for grabs priced at Rs 73,999 on Flipkart and then there is the additional cashback of Rs 10,000 as well. The Black & White and Just Black variants of the Pixel 2 XL and the Clearly White, Just Black, and Kinda Blue colour models of the Pixel 2 are eligible for the offer.
The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL sport 5-inch OLED and 6-inch pOLED displays respectively. Both are powered by the Snapdragon 835 platform and house 4GB RAM . In terms of camera, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL come with a single 12MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, dual-pixel autofocus, OIS, a dual-LED flash and sport an 8MP front-facing camera.
