If you have been waiting to get your hands on a phone with Google’s Android operating system but have always staggered back after glancing at the price tag, HTC’s latest entrant might carry some pleasant news. The Tattoo isn’t cheap, of course, but when compared to its peers, it’s relatively inexpensive.

With its 2.8-inch QVGA display, the Tattoo is optimized for Web, multimedia and other content while maintaining a small size and weight that fits comfortably in your hand. The HTC Tattoo integrates Google’s services like Google Search, Google Mail, and Android Market, where users can download apps and games. The handset also boasts of a broad variety of hardware features including a 3.2-megapixel camera, 3.5mm stereo headset jack and expandable microSD memory. 
 
And yes, it comes with the wonderful Sense UI. The HTC Tattoo allows you to stay close to the important people in your life by integrating your communications and applications including voice calls, emails, texts, photos and status updates into one consolidated view, providing innovative and fun phone experiences.
 
Vodafone users will be glad to know of a special offer for the Tattoo. Customers who purchase the phone before January 31, 2010, will get an exclusive offer to browse the Internet and download 20MB of data per month free for a period of three months.
 
The HTC Tattoo is now available for Rs. 18,400 in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh and Rs. 16,990 in the rest of India.
