Nothing is launching another smartphone this month and it’s not the Nothing Phone (3) or Phone (3a). This will be the first smartphone of Nothing’s affordable sub-brand CMF. The name of the phone is CMF Phone (1), which was previously confirmed by the brand. Apart from that, a few more details and specs have been confirmed by the brand. It is launching on July 8 and let me tell you what you can expect.
CMF Phone (1) by Nothing: What to expect
If it’s Nothing, there has to be a unique design. The CMF Phone (1) is expected to launch with a unique and also new design, not something that we have seen in Nothing phones. CMF has been teasing the smartphone in orange colour, similar to its Power 65-watt fast charger and the CMF Neckband Pro. What’s even more interesting is that the CMF Phone (1) is packed with quite big and visible screws to make repairs easier. It is said to come with a unique SIM ejector tool that will also work as a screwdriver.

The brand has confirmed the CMF Phone (1) will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that will support 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and 2000 nits of peak brightness. It is expected to be a budget smartphone, so we can expect a flat display with a punch-hole cutout for a selfie shooter.
Coming to its performance, the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor will power the CMF Phone (1), as confirmed by the brand. Moreover, this processor will be coupled with 8GB RAM and there is also 8GB of expandable RAM. Furthermore, it will most likely run Android 14-based Nothing OS. Lastly, CMF has also confirmed that it will feature a 5000mAh battery.
For photography, the CMF Phone (1) will feature a Sony 50-megapixel main camera. Along with that, it might have one more sensor on the back and one at the front for selfies.
How much will CMF Phone (1) by Nothing cost?
Currently, the price of the smartphone hasn’t been disclosed yet, as it will most likely be announced at the launch. However, since CMF launches affordable products, the CMF Phone (1) is expected to launch between ₹15,000 to ₹20,000.
