Apple’s latest smartphone, the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus are now officially available in India starting today. The smartphones will go on sale starting 6 PM today and as expected, they come with a slew of launch offers. Reliance Jio is offering a buyback offer under which 70 percent of the device’s cost is refunded to the owner on returning the device after a year, however, there are some terms which the buyer need to adhere to in order to be eligible for the benefit.

The Jio iPhone buyback offer is available on both the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus, however, in order to be eligible for the 70 percent buyback offer, users need to recharge their device with Jio’s Rs 799 plan. The offer is available for both prepaid and postpaid customers, but they need to recharge with the same Rs 799 plan every month, or with Rs 9,999 once for the entire year.

Postpaid users will get 90GB of data per month, capped at 3GB high-speed data per day, with the Rs 799 recharge plan along with free calling, SMS and a free subscription to Jio suite of apps. Prepaid users can also recharge with the plan and get a validity of 28 days. Users need to pay Rs 1,999 to pre-book the device from Jio.com. Buyers can buy the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus from Reliance Digital outlets and can select between either picking up the device from a Jio or Reliance Digital Store or home delivery. Users need to carry a copy of their Aadhaar card along with their pre-booking confirmation if they pick up the device from a reliance or Jio store, and if a consumer opts for home delivery, buyers will be sent a link for balance amount payment via email and after payment, they will need to provide the delivery details. During delivery, they will need to show their pre-booking confirmation along with a copy of their Aadhaar card.

For availing the buyback offer, Jio iPhone users need to submit their recharge invoices for a year, along with the purchase invoice of the iPhone at the time of return. The offer can be availed at Reliance Digital stores or Jio stores, as well as on Amazon.in, MyJio app and Jio.com. Apart from Jio, online retailers, Flipkart and Amazon are also offering some deals on the new iPhone 8. Consumers who buy the phones using a Citibank credit or debit card will get Rs 10,000 cashback on the mobile phones on both Amazon and Flipkart. Both e-commerce platforms offer a 12 month no cost EMI option with the iPhones. You can read more about the top offers on iPhone 8 and 8 Plus here.
