Apple iPhone 18 Pro series and iPhone Ultra may launch on this date: Here is what we know

Apple is expected to shake up its iPhone launch strategy this year. The word has it that the company may unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the long-rumoured iPhone Ultra at its next major hardware event. The standard iPhone 18 is expected to launch next year. Although the tech giant has not officially confirmed its plans, several leaks have hinted at what to expect. Now, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has revealed the potential launch date. Keep reading to know when Apple may launch the iPhone 18 Pro series and the iPhone Ultra.

Apple iPhone 18 Pro series and iPhone Ultra launch date (Expected)

According to Gurman, Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro lineup and the iPhone Ultra on either September 8 or September 9. Since Labor Day falls on September 7, Apple may opt for September 9 to allow a travel gap.

Based on history, the most likely date for Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Ultra announcement is either Tuesday Sept. 8 or Wednesday Sept. 9. But Labor Day is on Sept. 7, so Apple may prefer a travel gap day and prefer Sept. 9 for that reason.

Apple iPhone 18 Pro series: Key specifications (Expected)

The Apple iPhone 18 Pro is expected to come with a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro Max model may equip a 6.9-inch screen. Under the hood, both models may run on the A20 Pro chip. For photography, the iPhone 18 Pro series is expected to house a triple camera setup on the back, which may include a 48MP main camera, a 48MP telephoto lens and a 48MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies and video calls, there could be a 24MP camera on the front. 

Apple iPhone Ultra: Key specifications (Expected)

The foldable iPhone, which may launch as the iPhone Ultra, is said to sport a 7.8-inch main display and a 5.5-inch outer display. Powering the phone could be the A20 Pro chip. It may come with 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. In terms of optics, the iPhone Ultra is expected to house a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 48MP main lens and a 48MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies, there could be a 24MP camera.

Apple iPhone 18 Pro series and iPhone Ultra: Price in India (Expected)

As far as the pricing is concerned, the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to start at around Rs 1,34,900 to Rs 1,49,000 in India. The iPhone 18 Pro Max may start between Rs 1,49,900 and Rs 1,64,000. Meanwhile, the iPhone Ultra is rumoured to be priced at around Rs 1,19,990.
