Twitter for Android Experiment Google group invites users to participate in a new alpha testing program.
Twitter had launched its Android beta test group in August this year, and members have been constantly providing feedback on performance of the app to the development team. Twitter is now inviting users to try versions of the app at an even earlier stage.
Twitter has sent a note to beta testers stating that it “will also give you an opportunity to provide direct feedback and collaborate with us via a forum, so you can take a more active role in testing out bugs.” The company says “we’ll be accepting requests to join on a first come, first served basis, and we’re turning first to you and other members of the Android Experiment Program.”
A Twitter post in the Twitter for Android Alpha Program Google Group, stated that alpha versions of the Twitter app “will include earlier iterations of experiments.” The message states that the users will get an opportunity to give direct feedback about the app via the form.
Twitter is very keen to experiment with its mobile interface as the company added a number of new features to the app ahead of its IPO. Twitter added rich media-filled Twitter Cards, interaction buttons on the mobile timeline, a blue line to connect conversations, pre-expanded images, and much more. Apart from Twitter- Snapchat and Facebook have also been turning to Google Groups and the Android platform to gather up app testers.
