Xiaomi has launched its first products under the Mijia by Xiaomi brand in India, which was officially announced earlier this month. As the company had signalled at the time, air purifiers are the first category under the Mijia branding and two new models are arriving alongside a reintroduction of the Smart Air Purifier 4 Lite which launched in 2023.

Globally, Mijia is the number one air purifier brand in China and has shipped more than 25 million units since its first launch in 2014.
Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 features
The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 is priced at Rs 19,999 and is designed for larger spaces, covering up to 940 sq ft based on two air changes per hour. Its particle CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) is 443 m³/h and its formaldehyde CADR is 218 m³/h. The five-stage system includes a primary filter, high-efficiency filter, activated carbon layer, UV-C sterilisation and negative ions. The activated carbon layer specifically targets gaseous pollutants including formaldehyde and cooking fumes, which is relevant to Indian homes where prolonged cooking and high-heat methods release significantly more airborne pollutants than typical kitchen ventilation handles.
The purifier has a large colour display showing PM2.5 and PM1 levels, temperature and humidity. Sleep Mode operates at 32.1dB, which is quieter than a whisper at 35dB. It connects to the Xiaomi Home app and supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. The Air Purifier 6 carries SGS and ITS allergen removal certification.
Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact features
Priced at Rs 7,999, the Air Purifier 4 Compact covers rooms of 400 sq ft and above. It uses a 3-in-1 filtration system rated to capture 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns and carries TÜV Rheinland Allergy Care Certification. Sleep Mode on the 4 Compact operates at just 20dB, quieter than either the Purifier 6’s sleep mode or a typical whisper and the display switches off automatically in this mode. It weighs 2.2 kg and connects to the Xiaomi Home app with Alexa and Google Assistant support.
Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Lite features
Xiaomi is also reintroducing Smart Air Purifier 4 Lite which is priced at Rs 12,999 and covers 269 to 463 sq ft. It delivers 360 m³/h particle CADR through a three-layer filtration system and also carries TÜV Rheinland Allergy Care Certification. Night Mode operates at 33.4dB.
Sandeep Singh Arora, Chief Business Officer at Xiaomi India, said the air purifier launch reflects the company’s focus on addressing “everyday consumer needs” through the Mijia brand, with plans to continue expanding the smart home portfolio beyond this initial category.
All three models go on sale on 2 September 2026 through mi.com, Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Xiaomi Retail and Xiaomi Exclusive stores.
