The MediaTek Dimensity 9400e features an eight-core CPU with four Cortex-X4 cores clocked at 3.4GHz and a 12-core Immortalis-G720 GPU.
It supports on-device AI with MediaTek NeuroPilot SDK, enabling large language models (LLMs) like Qwen1.5B and Llama7B.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Sub-6GHz 5G with 4CC-CA, and Bluetooth range of up to 5 kilometres.
MediaTek has officially expanded the range of its flagship chipsets with the new MediaTek Dimensity 9400e. The new chipset offers top-tier performance and is based on the TSMC’s third-generation 4nm process and introduces a unique “All Big Core” architecture, making it one of the most powerful chips in the Dimensity lineup.
The new Dimensity 9400e has an eight-core CPU design, with four Cortex-X4 super cores clocked at up to 3.4GHz and four Cortex-A720 big cores clocked at 2.0GHz. It is complemented by a 12-core Immortalis-G720 GPU, which supports hardware-level mobile ray tracing and console-grade global illumination effects, thereby improving smartphone gaming performance. It also includes MediaTek’s HyperEngine technology, which provides smoother gameplay, consistent frame rates, and improved power efficiency.
Another major focus is artificial intelligence. The chipset includes the MediaTek NeuroPilot SDK, which enables the use of generative AI applications like large language models (LLMs) directly on the device. This means that the chipset supports popular LLMs such as Qwen1.5B, Llama7B, and Gemini Nano, providing faster on-device processing without the need for cloud servers.

The chipset also includes a premium 18-bit RAW ISP with advanced image processing capabilities. It supports AI semantic segmentation video engines with up to 16 layers of segmentation and high-dynamic noise reduction for multi-microphone audio recording. All of these features aim to improve photo and video quality.
Speaking of connectivity, the Dimensity 9400e supports Sub-6GHz 5G with four-carrier aggregation (4CC-CA) and theoretical peak download speeds of up to 7Gbps. It also supports Wi-Fi 7 with tri-band concurrency and has a Bluetooth range of up to 5 kilometres.
Smartphones like the Realme GT 7 and OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset, are expected to launch this month.
