Google has announced the global rollout of Gemini 4 Argon, its latest AI model designed to handle complex tasks across coding, finance, legal work, science and cybersecurity. The model was initially introduced a few weeks back and was made available to selected cybersecurity experts and trusted testers through the Fairwind Program. Now, Google is expanding access to developers, businesses and eligible consumers worldwide. The tech giant claims the new AI model performs better than other leading AI models on several industry benchmarks. Here is everything to know about its capabilities and availability.
According to Google, Gemini 4 Argon can analyse large amounts of information, understand visual content and assist with professional work that requires detailed reasoning.
The model can help developers improve code, identify software bugs and optimise applications. Google said its engineers used Argon to complete a major refactoring project involving hundreds of files in the Chromium codebase. Work that was expected to take months was completed in weeks.

In scientific research, the model has helped speed up molecular structure predictions. Google said it made the open-source xTB quantum chemistry package up to 2.3 times faster.
Argon also showed progress in robotics. It scored 87 per cent on the Embodied Reasoning (ERQA) benchmark, which tests how well AI models understand physical and spatial problems. In an internal experiment, the model watched a video of a person playing cornhole, created a simulation and helped a humanoid robot reproduce the activity.
Google said Argon offers its “most comprehensive safety and security stack yet” and has been tested with external partners to assess its capabilities and safeguards.

Developers can access the Gemini 4 Argon AI model through the Gemini API’s paid tier in AI Studio and Android Studio. Google AI Ultra subscribers can also use Argon in Google Antigravity. Enterprise users can access the model in Gemini for business, the API, and in Google Antigravity.
For consumers, the model is available in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Google Search for Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers.
Google has introduced Argon at an initial price of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens. Cached input tokens are available at a 95 per cent discount.
Cybersecurity professionals can apply to join the Fairwind Program for access without cyber guardrails. The company is also accepting applications from eligible scientists and researchers for six months of free access to Antigravity’s highest usage tier, subject to availability and selection.
