Elon Musk’s social media platform X (formerly Twitter) has once again reduced subscription prices in India across all tiers. The social media platform has announced the update on its official website. The prices for X Premium have been slashed by as much as 48%. The Premium tier for mobile app users now costs Rs 470 per month, from Rs 900. For the annual subscription, the price is further reduced by 16%, making it available for just Rs 4,272 for a year, which is Rs 356 per month. Here are the new prices and benefits.

X subscription price and benefits

The X Premium subscription, priced at Rs 427 per month, comes with benefits like larger reply boost, get paid to post, checkmark, Grok with increased limits, access to X Pro, analytics, media studio, and creator subscription.

Additionally, the Basic and Premium Plus have also been reduced. The basic subscription for X is now available at Rs 170 per month. Previously, it was Rs 243.75 per month. Users opting for annual billing will now have to pay Rs 1,700. While Basic subscribers do not receive a verification badge, they get access to features like post editing, longer-form content, background video play, and media downloads.

The Premium Plus membership, which offers the most advanced features, has also seen a significant price drop from Rs 3,470 to Rs 2,570 per month, whereas those opting for the annual plan will be required to pay Rs 26,400, i.e., Rs 2,200 per month. Premium Plus users get access to an ad-free experience, can publish full-length articles, and gain access to SuperGrok, the platform’s AI assistant powered by Grok 4.

The move appears aimed at expanding X’s subscription user base in India by making premium features more affordable and appealing to a wider audience.
