ChatGPT Work can now log into websites and get things done for you, here is how

OpenAI has added a major new ability to ChatGPT Work. The AI chatbot can now use a computer and browser to sign in to websites and complete tasks for users. The company says ChatGPT will not see your username or password while doing this. This means users can ask ChatGPT Work to handle tasks that usually require opening a website, signing in and clicking through several pages. From booking appointments to checking insurance details, the feature is designed to take care of routine online work. The new login feature is rolling out on both the web and mobile apps for Plus, Pro and Business users.

With this update, ChatGPT Work can handle a wide range of everyday tasks. For example, users can ask it to arrange utility services when moving into a new home. It can also help book appointments for a passport or driving licence, check insurance costs and look for doctors who are covered by their insurance.

Basically: if it’s something you’d normally have to open a browser and click through yourself, try asking ChatGPT Work to do it.

The AI can also help with vehicle-related tasks. It can check when a car registration is due and prepare the paperwork needed for renewal. If you are dealing with a rental issue, ChatGPT Work can compare your insurance policy with an email exchange with your landlord.

Finding things online is another area where the feature can be useful. Users can ask the AI to look for apartments based on specific requirements and save suitable listings. They can also upload a photo of an item and ask ChatGPT to find it and help restock it.

ChatGPT Work can also take care of tasks related to returns and bookings. It can arrange a package pickup, cancel tickets after a trip is rescheduled or help schedule a vet appointment. It can even prepare and submit reimbursement documents for eligible medical expenses.

For work, the feature can handle several routine jobs as well. It can find job candidates with certain experience and prepare outreach messages. It can take invoices from email and submit them to accounting software. Small business owners can use it to fill out permit forms, add tasks to vendor portals and review the latest results from an advertising campaign.
