A new unboxing video may have just revealed Apple’s next 13-inch iPad Pro featuring the M5 chip, stirring excitement ahead of its expected late 2025 release. A Russian YouTuber uploaded the video claiming to show the unannounced device. This isn’t the first time the Russian channel Wylsacom has leaked Apple products before their official announcement. The channel previously revealed the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 chip ahead of its launch, suggesting this iPad leak could be genuine.
SurveyIn the video, the iPad Pro appears to be a 13-inch model with 256GB of storage and a Space Black finish. In terms of design, it looks very similar to the current M4 iPad Pro. The device keeps a single rear camera, four speakers, and a Smart Connector. Its slim profile of 5.1mm seems to be unchanged. There is one small difference: the words “iPad Pro” are no longer engraved on the back of the tablet.
Performance-wise, the M5 chip will likely bring some noticeable improvements. A Geekbench 6 benchmark shown in the video suggests the M5 chip could be up to 12 percent faster in multi-core CPU tasks compared to the M4. The chip features a 9-core CPU with three performance cores and six efficiency cores. For graphics, the M5 likely offers up to 36 percent better GPU performance based on the Metal scores.
The leaked iPad also has 12GB of RAM for the 256GB model, up from 8GB on the current M4 models. The leaked tablet is running on iPadOS 26, and the video shows the battery was manufactured in August 2025.
