The company, with this new move, aims to address the most common issues faced by smartphone or broadband users, which are limited to on-device. For the unversed, the Google One subscription will allow users to safely back up and store important photos, videos, contacts, and documents to the cloud. If any mishap happens and your device gets lost, damaged or replaced, users can restore their data using the backup.

The Google One plans include family sharing features which allow the users to add up to five more members to their plan with no extra charge. All these added members will get to access the shared storage along with Google One benefits, while keeping the individual files and data private.
