The Indie super hit game ‘The Binding of Isaac’ has now sold over 2 million copies as was revealed by the game’s creator Ed McMillen during an interview podcast. The game was originally launched in October 2011 for the PC, Mac, Linux, Playstation 3 and the PS Vita and had received much critical acclaim.
During the interview, McMillen also revealed that he was working on a 'de-make' of the original game, essentially a remake that moved away from Adobe Flash (which the original game was built using) in order to improve performance and add support for expansions. McMillen also revealed that the de-make, titled ‘The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth,’ would also feature a new character named ‘Mystery Man’ which would be a randomly generated character with randomly generated stats and equipment who could be used to play the game.
‘The Binding of Isaac’ received much press after its launch for not only its tough difficulty but also for its dark story that focused on an abused child who has to fight through hordes of monsters in order to kill his religious fanatic of a mother.
