Garena has announced that team Old Skool has been disqualified from the Free Fire India Champion 2021 Spring

Team member AAYUSH was caught using hacks.

The team has now been replaced by team STONE CRUSHERS

Hacking has reared its ugly head once again. Garena Free Fire has announced that team Old Skool has been banned from the Free Fire India Championship 2021 Spring. The announcement was made via a post on the official Free Fire Esports India Facebook page. Player ‘AAYUSH’ from team Old Skool was detected by the in-game anti-hack system to have used hacks. The player’s entire team was disqualified from the competition.

Free Fire India Championship 2021 Spring: Final teams

Following the ban of AAYUSH and team Old Skool, the next best team in the play-ins would be promoted. This means that the STONE CRUSHERS that will be one of the final 18 teams proceeding to the Free Fire India Championship 2021 Spring League Stage.

The final list of 18 teams (six via invitation and 12 via play-ins) are as follows:

What now for AAYUSH and team Old Skool?

The team or AAYUSH have yet to release any official statement regarding the ban. For their part, Garena has announced that AAYUSH has been banned from all Garena Free Fire Tournaments until February 7, 2022. It is not yet known if AAYUSH’s account will also be banned.

As for the rest of the team, it is quite possible that they may find a replacement member for their team. Unfortunately, the team name might now be tainted. It is also possible that team Old Skool might be disbanded altogether.

Garena has fixed rules when it comes to hacking and cheaters. If a player is caught cheating, the player is banned with no option for an appeal. “We have zero tolerance for any activity that undermines the integrity and fairness of our game. We will permanently ban anyone – amateur or pro – who is found to be cheating. Moreover, pro players who cheat will be expelled from our tournaments along with their entire team,” a spokesperson from Garena told Digit.
