GTA 6 leaks hint at pre-order details and a new trailer

GTA 6 will undoubtedly be the biggest gaming launch of the year and expectations from the new game are quite high. Almost every gamer across the world is awaiting the launch of Rockstar’s Next. Over the years, the game has been much talked-about and the moment a new detail surfaces, that is all that the internet can talk about. This is exactly what happened over the weekend when details about its pre-order were leaked accidentally through Best Buy. People in the US reportedly got an email confirming that the GTA 6 pre-orders would go live on May 18. Well, since it is May 18 today, are we really getting a new trailer? Let’s find out.

GTA 6 pre-orders to go live today?

The Best Buy email, first reported by YouTuber Frogboyx1Gaming, said that users will get a 5% off during GTA 6 pre-orders from May 18 to May 21. The Reddit post soon garnered attention and began getting responses. Many users asked the YouTuber if they were sharing fake information but Frogboyx1Gaming kept on repeating that it wasn’t. Later, Insider Gaming also verified that the email was indeed true as they too received it. Despite the confirmation of the email, there hasn’t been any confirmed price leak yet.

Now Rockstar has rarely launched a game without backing it up by a new trailer. And this is exactly why fans are speculating that the pre-orders might go live with trailer 3 as well. Considering that we got the second trailer of GTA 6 on May 6 last year, this is quite believable.

Take Two CEO confirms GTA 6 launch date

While the pre-order and new trailer information hasn’t been confirmed by Rockstar in any way, what we do know is that Take Two (company that owns Rockstar Games) CEO Strauss Zelnick recently confirmed that the game’s launch is on track.

In a recent interview with David Serna, Zelnick reassured that the game is set to launch on November 19, 2026, adding that the date “has been announced.” He also talked about the game’s delays, saying Rockstar Games is currently around 18 months behind its original internal target. During the conversation, Zelnick described Grand Theft Auto as the “most valuable entertainment IP ever created,” highlighting just how massive the franchise has become over the years.
