Call of Duty: Mobile’s Hunt for Makarov event starts tomorrow: Here’s what you need to know
HIGHLIGHTS

Call of Duty: Mobile will have a new event tomorrow

The new event is called the Hunt for Makarov

Here's all you need to know before the start of the event

Call of Duty: Mobile’s next major event is all set to be available from tomorrow onward. The new event is called ‘The Hunt for Makarov’ and ties to the overall theme of ‘The Hunt’ in Call of Duty: Mobile’s Season 10 update. To recall, Vladimir Makarov was introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and served as the primary antagonist in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The new event will be along similar lines as Season 9’s Finest Hour Event wherein players will earn a set of in-game items that will be used to progress further in the event. It’s the same case of ‘The Hunt for Makarov’, as the item is Explore Points, which are gathered by playing multiplayer and battle royale. During the event, players will unlock Blueprints for the M4 and Man-O-War assault rifles. Players will also unlock other rewards like frames and more. Speaking of frames, players can also collect Makarov’s photos in battle royale mode and exchange it for a Makarov frame.

Call of Duty: Mobile’s Season 10 already began a few weeks back and has already introduced a bunch of new things. This includes the introduction of the Terminal map, a classic map that is based on the infamous No Russian mission from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The map follows an airport theme and the layout can be broadly divided into an outdoor section with parked airplanes, and an indoor section that includes the airport terminal. The open layout of the map can make it quite tricky for new players. If you’re having trouble with it, you can check out some of our tips and strategies here.

There is also a new game mode called Headquarters. The new mode is similar to other modes like Hardpoint and Domination wherein teams are tasked with capturing and holding points on the map. However, in Headquarters, once a team captures a point, they can no longer respawn till the Headquarters is destroyed. Once a Headquarter is captured, the enemy team cannot recapture it, they can only destroy it, after which it spawns on another location. You can learn more about how to ace this game mode here.
