However, the strategy of releasing two games from the same series in a row hasn’t worked as well as expected. This has led the company to rethink their approach for future releases.

It seems that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has struggled to connect with players. In a recent blog post, Activision said that the developers have been paying attention to player feedback and plan to make some important changes. One of the biggest changes is that Activision “will no longer do back-to-back releases of Modern Warfare or Black Ops games.”

The company also emphasised that the goal is to provide an “absolutely unique” experience for players each year. They further stated, “We will drive innovation that is meaningful, not incremental. While we aren’t sharing those plans today, we look forward to doing so when the time is right.”

Black Ops 7 has faced significant criticism, and it currently holds the lowest user score in Call of Duty’s history on Metacritic, Gamer Rant reports.

We have been building the next era of Call of Duty, and it will deliver precisely on what you want along with some surprises that push the Franchise and the genre forward,” the company explained.
