At the end of Season 4, Emily Cooper (played by Lily Collins) finds herself in a new city—Rome. She sparks a romance with Marcello, a charming Italian fashion heir, and moves into a new apartment to help Agence Grateau open a Rome office.
But don’t worry, the show isn’t changing its name just yet. “Emily’s going to have a presence in Rome,” Star said. “It doesn’t mean she’s not going to be in Paris, but she’s going to have a presence in Rome.”
Star also said that sending Emily to Italy was a way to surprise viewers and take the story to unexpected places.

Season 5 will dive deeper into Emily’s relationship with Marcello. “Marcello is a whole other adventure that we want for Emily,” said Collins. “We want Emily to be able to smile without condition. We want to see her beyond her vacay mode. And he comes at that perfect time.”
But things get complicated. In the final moments of Season 4, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo)—Emily’s on-and-off love interest—realises he still wants to be with her. Collins hinted, “Unfortunately, Gabriel has to deal with the repercussions of his choice.”
