If you are looking to enhance your home entertainment setup then an AV receiver provides the depth of customization to give you a truly immersive experience. Yamaha has added two new receivers to its portfolio – the RX-V6A and the RX-V4A priced at Rs 64,490 and Rs 47,490 respectively. Both the receivers boast of HDMI 2.1 support bringing 4K at 120Hz and 8K at 60Hz support. While the RX-V6A supports Dolby Atmos, the RX V4A is traditional with 5.1 surround sound. Let’s take a look at the features and specs of the two receivers in detail. 

Yamaha RX-V6A features, specifications and price

As mentioned above, the RX-V6A supports Dolby Atmos output and comes with a 7.2-channel setup with 100 Watt per channel. The AV receiver also supports Zone 2 output for those looking to use this amp to power speakers set up in a different room. Since the AV receiver supports HDMI 2.1, it can output in 4K at 120Hz or 8K at 60Hz. It supports Dolby Vision and HDR 10 as well. HDR 10+ support will come via a firmware update. The AV receiver will also receive a firmware update bringing features like ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), QFT (Quick Frame Transport) and QMS (Quick Media Switching)

Speaking of connectivity options, the Yamaha RX-V6A comes with 7 HDMI inputs and 1 HDMI output. The System also supports DTS:X. It comes with Wi-Fi connectivity, support for AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and Voice Control. It also has MusicCast multi-room audio. Users can also use the MusicCast app to control the AV receiver. 

The receiver comes with a mic in the box to help with calibration. “YPAO (Yamaha Parametric room Acoustic Optimizer) analyses your room acoustics, measures speaker characteristics and adjusts unwanted reflected sounds to optimize every channel of your home theatre”.

Yamaha RX-V4A features, specifications and price

A lot of the features of the RX-V4A are the same as its sibling, but there are some key differences as well. To begin with, the RX-V4A does not support Dolby Atmos. Instead, it is a traditional 5.1 setup with 80 Watt per channel. The AV receiver also supports Zone B output. The receiver also supports HDMI 2.1 and can output in 4K at 120Hz or 8K at 60Hz. It supports Dolby Vision and HDR 10 as well. The AV receiver will receive a firmware update bringing features like ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), QFT (Quick Frame Transport), QMS (Quick Media Switching) and HDR 10+ support.
