Top 5 upcoming phones launching in October 2026

October is shaping up to be one of the busiest months for smartphone launches in India, with around five new phones either confirmed or expected to arrive over the next few weeks. And this isn’t just another round of phones getting faster chips and slightly better cameras. Brands are experimenting with bigger 8,000mAh-plus batteries, Zeiss co-engineered camera systems and other upgrades aimed at making their phones stand out. Some of these launches already have confirmed dates, while others are still based on leaks and expectations. Here’s a look at the smartphones expected to launch in India this October and what we know about them so far.

Vivo V80

To start the list, the Vivo V80 is now officially confirmed to launch on 6th October. The camera system is the biggest highlight of this device. It comes with a Zeiss co-engineered triple camera setup with a 50MP Zeiss main sensor with OIS, a 50MP Zeiss telephoto lens with OIS, a 3x optical zoom that can go up to 100x digitally, and an 8MP Zeiss Ultrawide camera, paired with a 50MP selfie camera. The telephoto camera is the standout feature because phones in this price range don’t usually get a dedicated telephoto lens.

Apart from the cameras, the Vivo V80 also gets a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It also packs Vivo’s biggest V-series battery yet, a 7,200mAh battery with 90W fast charging.

Oppo K14 Plus

Next is the Oppo K14 Plus, the one closest to launch, officially confirmed for 29th September, before October begins.

Oppo has already confirmed most of the important details. The phone will come with the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Max processor, a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, and its biggest highlight, a massive 8,000mAh battery. To keep temperatures under control, Oppo is also adding a 5,000 mm² vapour chamber. The 50MP main camera is confirmed to have OIS and can record 4K video.

Charging speed is still under wraps. While there are plenty of rumours online, Oppo hasn’t officially confirmed the wattage yet, so it’s better to wait for the launch.

Vivo S2 FE

At number three is the Vivo S2 FE, and it’s also officially launching on 6th October alongside the Vivo V80.

The biggest highlight is its 10,000mAh battery, the largest ever seen in a Vivo S-series phone. It supports 44W fast charging, so the focus here is more on long battery life.

The phone could also feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, making it good for content consumption and gaming.

Under the hood, you’ll get the MediaTek Dimensity 7300E chipset. For cameras, you get a 50MP main camera, a 2MP secondary sensor, and a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Oppo F35 Pro

The Oppo F series is back with the Oppo F35 Pro, expected to launch in early October. This is also the phone with the most confusing leaks, as different reports are saying different things.

Earlier leaks claimed it would come with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor and a huge 10,000mAh battery. However, the latest leaks suggest it could come with the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Max chipset, along with a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide sensor.

However, one thing that has stayed consistent across leaks is a 50MP selfie camera and an IP69K-rated durability.

Motorola Edge 70 Neo

And finally, we have the Motorola Edge 70 Neo, and it could be one of the most interesting upcoming launches. If it launches as expected, it will become the sixth phone in the Edge 70 lineup, joining the Motorola Edge 70, Edge 70 Pro, Edge 70 Pro Plus, Edge 70 Fusion, and Edge 70 Max.

Motorola hasn’t officially revealed the phone yet, but its name has appeared on an Android 17 beta sign-up page for India, which means it’s on the way. The leaked specs are a bit unclear. Some reports mention a 200MP main camera, while others say it will use the same 50MP Sony LYT-710 sensor found in the Edge 70 Pro.

The Motorola Edge 70 Neo has appeared on Geekbench even before Motorola announced its India launch date. The listing shows that the phone could come with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, 6GB RAM, and Android 16 right out of the box. Interestingly, it’s the same processor that’s already used in the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion.
