Xiaomi to launch Redmi Note 12 series in India.
Lineup includes Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus.

Xiaomi looks pretty loaded this year as it has two phone launches in India in the first half of 2023. Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi Note 12 series in India. The launch will take place in an on-person event and will be streaming online as well on January 5. The Redmi Note 12 lineup includes Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus. Another launch of the Redmi K60 from Xiaomi is happening this year in April. The Chinese manufacturer has confirmed the camera details of Redmi Note 12 Pro and design of Redmi Note 12 series but the other specifications are still expected. Let’s have a look at them.
Redmi Note 12 5G design (Expected)
The design of Redmi Note 12 series is going to be very similar with the lineup phones. The series will have a flat back with a camera module on the top left corner very much similar to Redmi 11T. The front of the phone is basic with a punch hole cutout of the selfie camera. However, the Pro series will be available in different colours like lilac with white sparkling spots. The lineup is expected to have a side-mounted capacitive sensor.
Redmi Note 12 5G specifications (Expected)
Redmi Note 12 is likely to have a 6.67-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) with a 120Hz refresh rate support and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The phone might be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset.. It will likely run MIUI 13 based on Android 12 and could be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with a support of 33W fast charging. The Redmi Note 12 has a dual camera setup which is a 48-megapixel primary camera and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The selfie shooter is expected to be an 8-megapixel camera.
Redmi Note 12 Pro and Pro Plus specifications
The Redmi 12 Pro and Pro Plus are expected to roll out with a 6.67-inch centred punch-hole OLED display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. The display could support a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Both the phones might be featured by MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC, equipped with a 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support in Note 12 Pro and up to 120W fast charging support in Note 12 Pro Plus. The only big difference in cameras of both phones is the primary camera. Redmi Note 12 Pro will roll out with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera. Whereas the Note 12 Pro Plus might feature 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HPX main camera measuring 1/1.4-inch in size. Apart from that, the devices will have an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera and will also have the same 16MP selfie camera.
Redmi Note 12 series price (Expected)
Xiaomi launched the three phones in China with 6GB/ 8GB/ 12GB RAM and 128GB/ 256GB storage. Redmi Note 12 also has a 4GB + 128GB storage variant. In India, Redmi Note 12 5G could launch with the starting price of Rs 13,999, Note 12 pro could start with Rs 19,000 and Note 12 Pro Plus could start from Rs 27,000.
