  • Here's how the Reno 5 Pro stands against Mi 10T

Oppo launched the Reno 5 Pro in India earlier today in the high-end smartphone segment, going up against the likes of Xiaomi’s Mi 10T and more. The Reno 5 Pro has quad cameras on the back and supports fast charging out-of-the-box while the Mi 10T offers triple cameras and slightly lower fast-charging speeds.

If you’re someone who’s looking to purchase a smartphone in the sub-Rs 40,000 segments, the Reno 5 Pro has just arrived with aggressive pricing and powerful internals. However, is the Reno 5 Pro able to stand against the Mi 10T, let’s find out in this specifications and pricing comparison of the two?

Oppo Reno 5 Pro vs Xiaomi Mi 10T: Pricing

The Oppo Reno 5 Pro is priced at Rs 35,990 and has 8GB RAM with 128GB storage. As for the Mi 10T, it starts at Rs 35,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and Rs 37,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant.

Oppo Reno 5 Pro vs Xiaomi Mi 10T: Design and Display

The Oppo Reno 5 Pro and the Mi 10T, both have a metal-glass sandwich design where the former has a matte finish on the back flush with shiny gradient colour. The Mi 10T, on the other hand, uses AG glass on the back with a frosted matte texture.

The Reno 5 Pro has a slim form-factor that measures 7.6 millimetres and weighs 173 grams. This isn’t the case with the Mi 10T as it measures 9.3 millimetres in thickness and weighs 216 grams. While the Mi 10T uses Gorilla Glass 5 on the back, it is unclear if the Reno 5 Pro has additional protection over its display.

With the Reno 5 Pro, you get a 6.55-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution display with AMOLED panel and 90Hz high refresh rate support. There’s a punch-hole cutout on the front for the selfie camera with the screen offering 800nits brightness in sunlight and peak brightness of 1100nits.

Xiaomi Mi 10T features a larger 6.67-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution display that uses LCD panel with 144Hz high refresh rate. There’s a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera here as well and the screen is topped with a layer of Gorilla Glass 5. The screen offers 500nits typical brightness and 650nits peak brightness.

The display on the Reno 5 Pro has a larger surface area (92.10% screen to body ratio) in comparison with the Mi 10T (85.2% screen to body ratio). However, the Mi 10T has a slightly larger display with upto 144Hz refresh rate while the Reno 5 Pro tops out at 90Hz.
