Announcing Digit India’s Top Appliance Awards 2026
For more than 25 years, Digit has helped millions of Indians buy consumer technology devices through independent reviews, in-depth testing, and objective journalism. From smartphones and laptops to TVs and audio products, our testing has always focused on answering one question: Is this product worth your money? Today, we are bringing that same approach to a category that is just as important in everyday life.
SurveyWe are pleased to announce Digit India’s Top Appliance Awards 2026, a new reward programme that recognises the best home appliances and smart home products available in India.
Why appliances, and why now?
Home appliances have become some of the most important technology products in Indian households. Unlike smartphones or other personal gadgets that people replace every few years, appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners are long-term purchases that are expected to be used for many years.
Over the years, these products have evolved rapidly with AI-powered features, smart connectivity, improved energy efficiency and automation. So, while there are smarter choices for customers, it is also harder to separate genuine improvements from marketing claims now.
As India’s home appliance market continues to grow, there are relatively few independent, testing-led programmes dedicated to recognising excellence in this category. With Digit India’s Top Appliance Awards 2026, we aim to bridge this gap by bringing the same objective testing standards and editorial rigour that have defined our technology coverage for over 25 years to products that play an important role in everyday life.
And the goal is simple: recognise products that deliver meaningful performance, innovation and user experience, while giving consumers a trusted reference when making long-term buying decisions.
Built on 25 years of testing experience
Digit has spent over two decades building one of India’s most trusted consumer technology testing platforms. Throughout that time, our editorial philosophy has remained consistent: products should be evaluated through objective testing, practical use, and measurable performance rather than marketing claims.
The Top Appliance Awards extend that philosophy into the home appliance category.
Every nominated product will undergo detailed evaluation by the Digit editorial team using category-specific testing methodologies. Beyond specifications, we will assess how products perform in real-world conditions, how consistently they deliver on their promises, and whether they offer a dependable ownership experience.
Different products solve different problems, so every category has its own evaluation criteria. Our aim is to create a fair comparison between competing products while maintaining the same editorial standards that readers have come to expect from Digit.

Eligibility
The Digit India Top Appliance Awards 2026 are open to home appliances and smart home products that are officially available in the Indian market. Eligible products must have launched on or after 1 January 2025 and be selling in India at the time of evaluation.
We request brands to nominate one product per applicable category. Each nomination should include key specifications, pricing, availability details, and any supporting product information that may assist the jury during the evaluation process.
As all shortlisted products undergo hands-on testing, nominated units must be made available for physical evaluation at Digit’s test labs in Mumbai or Noida.
For products that are scheduled to launch during the awards period, we encourage brands to share review units under embargo, wherever possible, so they can be evaluated within the eligibility window.
