Best Convection and Grill Microwaves Under Rs 10,000
A budget of Rs 10,000 is usually not where you find microwaves that combine convection and grill. Most options at this price do one or the other. There is one exception on this list, and it is a loud one. The Midea packs microwave, grill, convection and air fry into a single body under Rs 9,000. The other four are simpler, and each has a case of its own. Here are five microwaves that fit the budget, or come close enough to argue their way into your kitchen. Let’s go through them in order of price.

IFB 20L Grill Microwave 20PG4S (Rs 8,700)

It is the least expensive among all, and it does its job well. The 20 litres capacity makes it apt for a couple or even a small family who heat their dal, heat the rotis and grill the occasional tikka. IFB has a rich background in the Indian market, and it has a better servicing network than any other brand available. It is much more important than any specification of the product itself when the microwave is five years old and causing trouble.
Midea 24L MMOPO2XA-ECSEBK (Rs 8,990)
And then there’s the outlier, and this one works well too! As per the specification sheet, it is a combination appliance with an 800W microwave, a grill and a convection oven, and an added air-fry feature. Think about that. All other models in the comparison make you choose between either grilling or baking, but the Midea gives you the option and at just Rs 290 extra than the IFB.

It comes with a 24 litre capacity which is highest in the range and is great if you want to cook for four. It has a black finish which adds to the looks. However, there are two things to bear in mind. First, cooking in a microwave does not equate to a dedicated air fryer. Second, do check the availability of air fryer accessory. Midea’s network of services is not as extensive as that of IFB and Samsung, so you might want to check nearby centres before you buy.
Samsung 23L Grill Microwave MG23A315 (Rs 9,350)

Samsung has an average pricing position while being a leader on brand satisfaction. The majority of consumers recognize the brand, know about the servicing network, and are sure that a spare part will not take a month to come. The capacity of 23 liters is sufficient for a family dinner. In this category, Samsung tends to provide their models with ceramic enamel cavities that can be more easily wiped compared to stainless steel ones. This is a minor detail but it really matters after years of spilled gravy. This is only a grill model and baking is impossible here.

LG 20L Grill Microwave MH2044DB (Rs 9,999)
The price at which LG sets this model is Rs 9,999, one rupee below the line. It is a 20-litre grill microwave that is backed by a brand known for providing excellent after-sales services, and that is all that it stands for. The downside is quite clear. This costs around Rs 1,300 more than the IFB. With the same capacity and grill functionality alone, there is no question of extra value to you in case you do not consider servicing and resale.
Panasonic 23L Convection Microwave NN-CT353BFDG (Rs 10,990)

It breaks the budget by Rs 990, and the Midea makes its job harder. Both bake, and the Midea is cheaper, bigger and adds grill and air fry. So why look at the Panasonic at all? Because Panasonic has a solid reputation for build quality and even baking, and a convection-focused machine from a brand with that record gives some buyers peace of mind. The 23-litre cavity takes a standard cake tin. If you want the surest bake and don’t care about extras, this is the safer choice. If you want the most features per rupee, it isn’t.
How to Choose
You begin with the things you cook. For reheating, defrosting and grilling, the IFB is the best choice available in the most affordable price range. Samsung and LG are recommended for you if you wish to have a reputable brand name and better services, but LG is expensive than Samsung in the same function. The Midea is the best option if you wish to bake, grill and air fry all in one box and your place has the support of services. The Panasonic will be perfect for you if you are a baker who values brand reputation more than features.
