Google Gemini Lyria 3 features

Lyria 3

Before diving in, let’s take a look at the features that the Lyria tool offers. First up, it’s important to understand that these models aren’t independent tools; rather, they’ve been built to be used with Google’s Gemini chatbot. Not only can it take inputs in the form of texts, but it also supports processing images and videos as inputs. That makes things very interesting, as personalisation options move up the ladder.

Given how stock music has been a trouble for many content creators, who had to pay for a subscription service to access music libraries, this would change things for them. It is ideal for creating audio for videos that won’t risk copyright strikes. Instead of searching through stock music libraries, users can describe the exact mood of a video to get a customised track.

Lyria 3 vs Lyria 3 Pro: Key differences

While both the Lyria 3 and Pro models might look familiar at first, there are actually quite a few differences that tell a completely different story. It is important to understand that the base model has been built for a different audience, where it would only be able to generate short music clips of around 30 seconds.

The Pro model, on the other hand, is much different. The ‘Pro’ name isn’t just for show, as it offers quite a few Pro-grade features. It is much more complex, allowing the generation of full-on songs of around 3 minutes. Not only that, but even in terms of the quality, the Pro model is a lot better, as it offers professional-grade audio, while the regular model is stuck at normal quality.

Here’s a simpler chart to offer you some more clarity:

Lyria 3 vs Lyria 3 Pro: Pricing difference

Last but not least, let’s also have a look at the pricing difference between the regular Lyria 3 model and the higher-end Pro model. Pricing would play a big role in deciding which package would suit your usage better.

Speaking of the regular version, Google has announced that it will be available to everyone for free. Users would be able to generate up to 10 music tracks per day using the model before a cap comes in. Do note that these are the 30-second songs and not the full 3-minute songs that the Pro model comes with.

Moving on to the Pro models, they’re available only to the paid subscribers of the Google AI plans. Users have various options to choose from, which include Google AI Plus, Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra. An important thing to note here is that even after having a paid subscription, there will be a cap on music generation, with the highest-end subscription offering up to 50 music generations of 3-minute music clips in one day.
