Today, we have with us the DOMO Slate X3D SE tablet. The tablet is available to users at Rs. 5,990 making it one of the best buy options available in the market, maintaining good quality of hardware and scores high on raw performance.

The front of the device houses a 5-point multi-touch enabled capacitive 7-inch LCD display that boasts of a resolution of 480×800, giving it a 240ppi pixel density. Under the hood, a 1.2GHz Cortex A9 processor along with 1GB of DDR3 RAM powers the device, taking it beyond the competition that offers 512MB RAM at this price point. For its graphical capabilities, it has the Mali-400 GPU. It has 4GB built-in storage expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. The device is relatively slim at 10mm and weighs 270gms.

The Slate X3DSE tablet also boasts of a 3000mAh battery, which the company claims, will last up to 3 to 5 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video, or listening to music.

The rear of the Slate X3D SE has a textured finish that adds to the grip of the device. The rear houses the speaker grill. In terms of connectivity options it has the headphones jack, microSD card slot, HDMI out, Mini USB port and the DC in all neatly laid out on one side of the device. The top of the device has the volume rocker and the power button. The front of the tablet has a VGA camera for video calling through Skype and other apps.

     

The tablet not only supports Internet connectivity via Wi-Fi but through external data cards for 3G data surfing as well. In the box users get the DOMO Slate X3D SE device, device charger, USB cable, OTG cable and documentation.

     

The DOMO Slate X3D SE runs on Android 4.0.4 ICS and will be upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Running Android, the tablet also has access to the Google Play store, which gives users access to a plethora of apps and games to run on the device. On the tablet, users also have access to five home screens, which can be customized with app shortcuts and widgets. Playing games like Temple Run 2, Angry Birds on this device was good fun, given the graphical capabilities powered by 1GB RAM and Mali GPU. Graphics are pretty much smooth and text is crisp and multi – tasking can be done effortlessly. Direct HDMI out also allows you to enjoy your games and movies on the bigger screen.

     

Setting up the DOMO Slate X3D SE is very simple. Switch it on and connect the device to Wi-Fi. Enter your Gmail details and you are all set to use the device, download apps and Go Gaming !
