GTA 6

The launch of GTA 6 is going to be an event in itself. The most awaited game this year is coming first to consoles and there has been no word of a PC release yet. This is the most awaited game of the year, and for good reason. Rockstar has taken its time with this one, and everything we have seen so far has only taken the excitement up a notch.

For the unversed, the game will take us back to Vice City, but with next-gen graphics that look ultra realistic from the trailers and photos that have been shared so far.  The game also introduces a dual protagonist system, with one of them being a female. And this hasn’t really happened in a GTA game yet.

In addition to this, there are also reports of NPCs reacting more naturally, environments change over time, and details that are on another level.

Reports of Sony planning to launch the PS5 Pro in India ahead of GTA 6 launch had also surfaced. But nothing has been confirmed so far.

Marvel’s Wolverine

The moment we got to see the first glimpse of Marvel’s Wolverine, the excitement around it started building up. The game is developed by Insomniac Games, which also brought us the SpiderMan games. However, in Wolverine, the approach seems to be much darker, grounded and personal when compared to the Spider-Man titles. This will surely not be another adventure just swinging through NYC. Here, Wolverine’s character allows for more brutal combat and a deeper emotional narrative.

Judging from the trailers, the game focuses heavily on storytelling, with a tone that feels more mature and intense. Combat is expected to be fast, aggressive, and very personal, which fits perfectly with the character.

If you enjoy story-driven games with strong characters, Wolverine is definitely one to watch in 2026. The game will be out in September this year and this is a PlayStation exclusive

007 First Light

007 First Light is one of the more interesting entries in this lineup. Developed by IO Interactive, the studio behind the Hitman series, this game focuses on a younger version of James Bond and his early days as a spy.

From the trailers, it looks like the game would be a fun ride. IO Interactive is known for giving players freedom in how they approach missions, and if that carries over here, we could see a Bond game that is less about action set pieces and more about planning and execution.

The mix of cinematic storytelling and open-ended gameplay could make this stand out from other titles this year. It is not just about shooting your way through levels, but about thinking like a spy. For players who enjoy stealth and strategy, this could be one of the most rewarding experiences on the PS5.

Forza Horizon 6

Forza Horizon 6 arriving on PS5 is a big deal. Known for its stunning visuals and massive open world, this game offers a racing experience that goes beyond traditional tracks. Set in a vibrant recreation of Mexico, it combines exploration with high-speed action.

What makes Forza Horizon 6 special is its accessibility. You do not need to be a hardcore racing fan to enjoy it. You can jump in, pick a car, and start exploring the world at your own pace. At the same time, there is enough depth for players who want to fine-tune their driving experience.

On the PS5, this game is expected to look and run incredibly well, making full use of the hardware. It is the kind of game you play to relax, but also one that keeps pulling you back in with new events and challenges. For racing fans, this can easily be one of the highlights of 2026.

Directive 8020

We’ve had a bunch of games combine horror and sci-fi and Directive 8020 promises to be another such experience. Developed by Supermassive Games, this game focuses on narrative-driven gameplay where your choices shape the story.

Set on a distant spaceship, the game blends psychological horror with sci-fi elements. The setting itself adds a layer of tension, as you are isolated with nowhere to escape. Every decision you make can have serious consequences, which keeps you constantly on edge.

So, this does not seem to be a game about fast reflexes or action-heavy gameplay. It is about atmosphere, storytelling, and making difficult choices under pressure. For players who enjoy immersive, story-driven horror, Directive 8020 could easily be one of the standout experiences of the year.
