One of Bollywood’s biggest action films of 2025, War 2, released in theatres last month. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the sequel brings back the same power-packed action that made War (2019) such a blockbuster. The first film, starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, raised the bar for action movies in India, and audiences have been eagerly waiting to see what happens next.

This time, the makers have taken things up a notch with an even bigger cast and larger-scale action. Hrithik Roshan returns in his role as Kabir Dhaliwal. Joining him are South superstar Jr NTR and Bollywood’s Kiara Advani.

War 2 OTT release date and platform

While War 2 is still running in theatres, many fans are already curious about when they can watch it online. According to FilmiBeat, Netflix has bagged the digital streaming rights for the film. Although an official announcement has not been made, it is expected to be released on the platform by late September or early October 2025.

War 2 storyline

The movie continues the story of Kabir Dhaliwal. Once a respected officer, Kabir has now crossed over to the other side and turned into a deadly enemy. His betrayal sparks a massive manhunt. This chase is led by Jr NTR, who plays Special Units Officer Vikram.

Adding suspense to the plot is Kiara Advani’s role as Kavya Luthra. Her character has close ties to Colonel Sunil Luthra, played by Ashutosh Rana.
