Today, TomTom announced the launch of yet another fitness watch in India – the TomTom Spark Cardio + Music Fitness watch. The watch is priced at Rs. 21,999 standalone and you can get the watch bundled with headphones for Rs. 25,999. The device is available in small and large size online via Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal. The TomTom spark Cardio + Music is primarily made of plastic and is designed for fitness and sports enthusiasts who would want a smartphone-free experience while working out. The USP of the TomTom Spark is its music playing capabilities. It has 3GB storage where users can store up to 500 songs.
The TomTom Spark was announced at IFA, Berlin in September last year and has now made its way to the Indian shores. The Spark also has a built in Heart Rate monitor along with a three-axis accelerometer to track your step taken, calorie count, distance covered and more. TomTom Spark also boasts of some specialized sports modes. The watch can track running, cycling, swimming, freestyle and gymming.
The TomTom Spark Cardio + Music watch sports and LCD Monochrome screen that isn’t touch enabled. Instead, the watch houses a square shaped control button, which helps users navigate the watch. The watch can be connected to an iOS or Android device using the My Sports Connect app by TomTom. Users can analyze the results of their workout directly from the watch face or from the comfort of their smartphone screen.
At the launch, Peter Frans, Co Founder, TomTom international said, "Smartphones are not getting any smaller as we know. At TomTom when we realize something like that we cannot help ourselves. So the TomTom spark has in-built music playing capabilities."
