Samsung has expanded its foldable smartphone lineup with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. The flagship foldable arrives with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a triple rear camera system led by a 200MP primary sensor. While Samsung’s latest book-style foldable is official, Google is expected to unveil the Pixel 11 Pro Fold next month. Ahead of its debut, here’s a look at the five expected differences between the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra vs Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold: Display 

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra features an 8-inch 2x AMOLED main display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Along with that, the phone has a 6.5-inch FHD+ Dynamic 2X AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is expected to equip an 8-inch LTPO OLED inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display could be 6.4 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra vs Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold: Camera

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra features a triple-rear camera setup, consisting of a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 10MP telephoto lens. For selfies, there is a 10MP camera on both displays.

In comparison, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is expected to feature a 48MP primary camera, a 10.5MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 10.8MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. It is also expected to include two 10MP selfie cameras, one on the cover display and another on the folding display.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra vs Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold: Processor

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. On the other hand, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is expected to be powered by Google’s Tensor chipset, likely the Tensor G6.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra vs Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold: Battery 

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra packs a 5,000mAh dual-cell battery with support for 45W wired fast charging, 20W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. Meanwhile, the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is expected to house a slightly larger 5,015mAh battery but with 30W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Qi2 wireless charging support is also expected. 

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra vs Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold: Colours

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is available in Graphite, Cream and Velvet Shadow colour options, along with a Green Shadow variant that is exclusive to Samsung’s online store. In comparison, the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is expected to launch in two colour options: Midnight Haze and Pine.
