The Samsung S24 series will likely be announced in January next year.

As 2024 approaches, so does the highly anticipated release of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. This upcoming flagship lineup is expected to include the Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone models. Recently, it was rumoured that the S24 series will likely be announced in January next year. Now, the Galaxy S24 Ultra model has made its appearance on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification website.

On the BIS listing the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone carries the model code SM-S928B/DS, reports Gizmochina.

Based on the listing, it seems like the smartphone is in line with the expected launch date.

So far, rumours suggest that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone will likely feature a 6.8-inch WQHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Also, it is expected to offer a peak brightness of 2,500 nits. This device could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

For photography, the upcoming Ultra smartphone model is expected to house a 200MP 1/1.3-inch primary sensor offering up to 100x zoom, a 12MP Sony IMX564 ultra-wide side, and a 10MP Sony IMX754+ telephoto lens. Also, it will likely come packed with a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W charging support.

Recently, it was reported that Samsung aims to make the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra the “smartest AI phones” ever.

Moreover, a Samsung executive recently confirmed that the tech giant will support satellite connectivity for emergency services starting next year. This probably indicates that the upcoming Galaxy S24 series, which is expected to launch early next year, will likely feature two-way satellite connectivity for emergencies.
