Realme will unveil its new flagship smartphone, Realme X,  on May 15 in China and just a day ahead of the official launch, live images and press renders of the phone have surfaced online. The Live images come via Xu Qi Chase, the Chief Marketing Officer at Realme, and the press renders were posted by the company on its official Weibo page. The Live images show the colour variants of the phone and the renders show the placement of the pop-up selfie camera.

The live images of the Realme X show that the phone will launch in two colours: One with a gradient design where the purple colours subtly shift to a blue colour towards the bottom edge of the rear panel. The other variant has a white coloured back panel with a single standard strip, and both the phones feature an “S-shaped” pattern. The phone will sport a centrally-aligned dual camera system on the back.

The press renders show the phone's front and the pop-up mechanism can be seen at the centre of the top edge. It also confirms that the phone will have an in-display fingerprint sensor. The company has already outed a lot of specs on its official Weibo account, and the Realme X was also recently spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website.

In one of the teasers shared on Weibo last week, the company confirmed that the Realme X will feature an AMOLED display with high screen-to-body-ratio of 91.2 percent. In another teaser, Chase shared a live image of the smartphone showing off the notch-less display. Under the hood, Realme X is likely to have the Snapdragon 855 platform, along with multiple RAM options: 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. It could come equipped with a 6.5-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, and it might be protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

Rumours have suggested that the phone will feature a sixth-gen optical in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will come equipped with a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with an aperture of f/1.7, and a 5MP dual camera setup on the back and the TENAA listing suggested that the phone will have a 16MP front shooter. Realme has also claimed that the pop-up selfie camera mechanism can work 200,000 times during its lifetime.
