OnePlus 9R gets Android 12-based OxygenOS 12 Open Beta in India

OnePlus 9R gets Android 12-based OxygenOS 12 Open Beta in India
HIGHLIGHTS

The OxygenOS 12 Open Beta for OnePlus 9R is available for early adopters.

The beta update also integrates February 2022 security patch.

A stable update is expected to follow in the coming weeks.

OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 have both received the stable Android 12-based OxygenOS a while back, but the 9R variant hasn’t been on the priority list. It’s only now that OnePlus has released the first Open Beta update for the 9R, paving way for a stable update sometime later down the line.

The OxygenOS 12 Open Beta for OnePlus 9R (review) is available for early adopters and will also bring in the February 2022 security patch. If interested, you can download the 4GB update file on your phone and install it.

The update will not wipe your data. Needless to say, there is a good chance that you’d run into bugs and other issues, and if at any point you wish to return to a stable version, you can download the rollback package and install it. Installing this rollback package will, however, wipe your entire data.
