HIGHLIGHTS

OnePlus might launch its next flagship phone on October 15.

OnePlus usually releases devices during November but the OnePlus 7T/7T Pro could be exceptions.

Avid OnePlus fans will know that the Chinese electronics manufacturer usually plans to launch a ‘T’ version of its current flagship smartphone in the month of November. The same fans will be pleasantly surprised to learn that this year's ‘T’ version could in fact be launched a fortnight in advance. According to a tweet by online tipster Max J., the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro will be launched on October 15, thus breaking the usual tradition of launching it in November.

Samsung-focussed leakster Max J. posted a concept image of a glossy black phone in which only the outline of its rear triple camera setup is seen. The leakster captioned his tweet quite simply, “1+”.  As always, since this tweet isn't from an official source, we advise you to take it with a hint of salt. Though the tweet only makes a reference to OnePlus and not the specific model, we firmly believe the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro will  be launched together whether it's October or November.

We've seen live images of the OnePlus 7T Pro in the recent past and, going by the looks of things, the upcoming ‘T’ refresh could carry forward the same physical design as that of the current OnePlus 7 Pro. The sole difference could lie in the processor, battery, and camera departments. Some say the OnePlus 7T Pro could be powered by the recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ Mobile Platform. The handset in the leaked live images was seen running a beta version of Android Q, indicating it could be launched with a stable version of Android Q.

The OnePlus 7 Pro features a 6.67-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution and a pixel density of 516 pixels per inch. It is HDR10+ certified and supports a refresh rate of 90Hz. Powering the current OnePlus flagship device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage space. Apart from a triple rear camera setup (48MP primary, 16MP ultra-wide, 8MP telephoto) and a 16MP pop-up selfie camera, the OnePlus 7 Pro features a 4000mAh battery. You can read a review of it here. We'll just have to wait and watch to find out when the next OnePlus flagship enters the market.
