OnePlus 15R specs leaked ahead of launch: Here’s what to expect

With the official OnePlus 15 launch confirmed for October 27 in China, OnePlus is also planning to unveil the OnePlus Ace 6, which will debut globally as the OnePlus 15R. While OnePlus has already revealed most of the flagship OnePlus 15’s features, details about the Ace 6 are still under wraps. However, a new leak has revealed the key specifications, suggesting a 165Hz display, a massive 7,800mAh battery and more.

OnePlus 15R design and specifications
According to the leak, the OnePlus 15R will feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K Pro XDR LTPS AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The screen is tipped to support Dolby Vision and 2160Hz PWM dimming. The display could offer a global peak brightness of 1,800 nits and a manual peak brightness of 800 nits.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 15R will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, coupled with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The device could offer up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
Battery life is also expected to get a major bump this year, with leaks suggesting a 7,800mAh battery with support for 120W SuperVOOC fast charging. However, the R variant might once again skip wireless charging support.
On the optics front, the phone is rumoured to sport a 50MP primary camera and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor.
Further, the handset is teased to come in three colour options: Quicksilver, Flash White, and Racing Black. The device is also expected to drop the circular camera module and the alert slider.

OnePlus 15R price and India launch timeline (Expected)
In India, the OnePlus 15R is expected to be priced around Rs 44,999, slightly above the OnePlus 13R’s Rs 39,999 launch price. Based on reports, it could launch in India between December 15 and 25.
